Founding partners Susan Lawson and Scott E. Simmons bring years of experience from the Public Defender’s Office and a premier South Florida criminal defense firm. Through that experience, they saw how excessive caseloads and quantity-driven practices can limit the time, preparation, and judgment required to properly defend a person’s future. Lawson and Simmons was built to ensure that criminal defense is handled with care, preparation, and the legal expertise each case deserves.
Lawson and Simmons is a partner-led criminal defense firm. Every case is handled by a founding partner attorney from start to finish. Clients are not passed to junior attorneys or managed primarily by staff.
